I wanted to give the old Dinerdate a proper sendoff, so I decided to add some art to the last comic. I thought the guys walking into the dark forest, never to be seen again, was a nice metaphor.

If you’re wondering how the storyline would have progressed, I might share it with you some other time.

In closing, a look ahead:

part of the new cast

The setting and the cast have been determined, and I have a month worth of strips written. But I want to have everything figured out before I put anything up.

The plan was to make the new cast all-human, but after I posted that on twitter I got a couple of reactions saying that the talking animals were, quote, “awesome sauce”.

I’ll keep you updated.

you should do animals speaks like in family-guy perhaps, its suposed to be like smth: dog asks for food but only readers could see the “text-bubble” and characters read it out of animals behaivour, and feed them… perhaps? oh, snap what ever you think, good to see it’s coming together nicely.

Oh, is there going to be more “Diner dateing” than in last series?

oh gotta run that 70s show is on.

Yeah I was indeed thinking about what you suggested, kinda like Snoopy in Peanuts for example. And Brian from Family Guy is a big inspiration too ofcourse. He acts human but he still has dog quirks like barking at the vacuum cleaner or peeing on the carpet. I will definitely incorporate some of that in dinerdate.

And yes, there will be some more dating going on in the new series. ;)

    Thanks for the feedback! :)
